Password and two-factor

Reset a forgotten password, and add a second step when signing in.

Forgot your password? Select “Forgot password” on the sign-in screen and we email you a reset link.

You can also turn on two-factor authentication in Settings. After that, signing in asks for a six-digit code from your authenticator app as well as your password.

When you turn it on you are given recovery codes. Keep them somewhere safe — they are the way back in if you lose your phone. They are 14 characters long and contain letters as well as numbers, so type them exactly as given.
